The culmination of this schools programme is the Peter Creber Memorial Tag Rugby Festival at Caswell lane, Portbury.
With nearly 300 children attending, this year saw the much improved Sharks base converted to 10 mini rugby pitches. This meant that all the children were able to play rugby throughout the day leading to Bowl, Plate and Cup competitions.
Thanks goes to RFU Community Coach Gary Hart for his fantastic work over the last 3 years, fittingly finishing his RFU career at the largest Schools Tag Rugby festival ever held in North Somerset. Good luck to Gary in his new Teaching career.
Thanks also to all the Teachers and staff who attended and the Work experience pupils from Gordano School and Clevedon School who helped to run the day with the clubs coaches.
Thanks also to Richwood Construction from Portishead who sponsored the days event and the Trustees of Peter Creber’s Memorial fund who contribute annually.
The Fair Play Award was presented to Portishead Primary School by School Sports Co-ordinator for North Somerset Shane German.
Whilst James Hailwood from Richwood Construction presented the following Awards:
Bowl Runners Up - Trinity 2
Bowl Winners - St.marys 3
Plate Runners Up - Crockerne 1
Plate Winners - Portishead Primary 2
Cup Runners Up - High Down 1
